Dr. Krishnamurthy Iyer
An engineer turned behavioral scientist, Dr. Krishnamurthy Iyer’s career of 40 + years spans Operations for 16 years & HR for 27 years in esteemed organizations such as Crompton Greaves Ltd. And Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
Dr. Krishnamurthy Iyer is a B.E. (Mech.) & MIE (Elec.) by qualifications. . After 16 years in Operations (Prodn, Indl. Engg., Projects, Materials Mgmt., EA to VP etc.) (1970-1986) his passion for people development made him embrace Personnel Management and Industrial Relations (1987-1997 in Crompton Greaves Ltd.) & later HR (1998-2014 in M and M Ltd.) . After contributing as GM – HR for 4 plants of Auto Sector and a brief stint in internal communications, Dr K Iyer retired as the Sr. General Manager for Learning & Organization Development from Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.
He also holds a Diploma in Management Studies (DMS from University of Mumbai) and a Diploma in Training and Development (Dip. TD, from ISTD, Delhi). He got his PhD in Human Resources and Change Management from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, (BITS), Pilani –in 1998. His thesis was on “Adaptation of Japanese Management Practices to Indian Organizations-Some Studies”. He has presented several papers in National and International Conferences.
